Me. Fifteen years working to tolerances measured in millimetres, on telecommunications and aerospace engineering projects, where "more or less" was never an option. Renovation was a hobby of mine that got out of hand: I resigned and started the company. On my own projects — several of them — I hired contractors too, and always got the same thing — a single sheet of A4 paper with nothing itemised and a single final price, deadlines that slipped with no consequence, verbal promises never kept, and my money funding the next job while mine waited. I realised it was not bad luck: it was how the industry works.
Legal. No contract or specification leaves this office without passing through a lawyer with forty years in practice, in construction law and in the matters that surround it: building contracts, licensing, horizontal property and civil liability. The contract we hand you states exactly what each side is bound to. You can read it before you sign, and you can understand it.
Accounts, tax and insurance. Handled by an in-house department: organised accounting, a clear standing with the tax and social security authorities, and employer's liability and public liability cover in force for the whole of the build.
The teams. Our own teams, and specialists who have worked with us for years, certified in the trades they work in. Whoever enters your home is identified, is covered by the insurance, and answers to us.
Projects without surprises? They do not exist. But every surprise can reach you before the decision, with the cost stated, and no figure and no deadline need change without your signature.
